My wife and I were talking one day and she found some seat covers that she thought were nice, but she didn't think they'd look good in our van. Considering that the seat covers at $20 were going to be worth more than the van, I had to agree with her.

My suggestion, "I know where there is a mustang for sale for $650"
"Ok, let's get it" She said.

The $650 was actually for two cars, the '87 Mustang Convertable, and the '88 Thunderbird Turbo Coupe. The former owner picked up the T-Bird specifically for the rear end. Thanks for doing your homework Don!

Before picking up the cars I had to have a place to do the work, that is when my brother suggested that we do the work at his friend's house. I didn't know him from Adam, but hey why not? We're all car nutz so if he's game, let's do it!

We picked the cars up and a week later had the rear ends swapped out. Realize that we only work on the car on Saturdays, so it was going to take a few months to do the basic body work taht we were planning.

At first the plan was to take the body apart, fix it up a bit, paint it and reassemble it. We were then going to put the new top on (also included in the deal) and drive the car. When you look at the gallery you'll see the pictures of the car before we started tearing into it.
